Technically it’s Tuesday night… but, it’s almost Wednesday and that’s what really counts. ;-)

I’m fried… slowly burning out. The kids went back to school and we’re working on getting back into our old routine. Sort of… Ethan is in Junior High now and he’s having a rough time adjusting to the new school, new people, and the new schedule.

I’m running short on time, now. Hopefully everything will smooth out soon.

New holiday page is up…

It’s late Friday afternoon… this is the last weekend of summer vacation.

I’m really not looking forward to the kids starting school. It’s been great having them home this summer. The family is looking forward to a nice, relaxing weekend. We’re going to grab some pizza and spend tomorrow looking at RV’s (my husband’s latest obsession) .

I’m finishing up my day at the desk here. Everything is looking a little tired. The grass looks beat, the shrubs and plants look worn. Fall is approaching, but you certainly can’t tell from the temperatures! Mid-90’s today and it’s due to get even warmer over the next week.

Sounds like hubby is coming in through the front door… that’s my cue to sign off.

The weekend has officially started!

:o)

First Post

Wonderful.

Well, my very first post, just got lost. I hit the back button to edit and apparently should have hit the Save As Draft button instead. How I can manage to build and update my own website and yet NOT be able to run a simple Blog is beyond me.

I had it all formatted - it looked great and yet somehow I couldn’t just let it go, I had to go back and perfect it. Ok, well… there’s no way I can remember everything I wrote. After all, I do have a 7 month old and I just don’t sleep the same anymore. ;o)

So, here is what will appear to be my first post - when it really isn’t.

Ok, I was up late last night updating Home-Based-Parents.Com

The following pages were updated:

Domestic Bliss - this is a page dedicated to all things home related. Gardening, cooking, shopping, etc. There are a couple of great articles that are updated regularly and a printable shopping list.

Money Tips For Moms
- Family finances. Budgeting, buying the family car, 401K’s, and college funds.

HBP Cafe - Stress reliever and personal development page. Includes a great column by Andi Buchanan (updated regularly) “The Darkside” which is a humorous look at being a mom. There’s also a syndicated cartoon that is updated weekly and daily affirmations. This page has been my pet project for a while and will probably expand in the future.

The really BIG news…

The HBP Cafe Forum went live yesterday. I’m really excited about this.
I’m a member of several other boards out there - and I always wanted to have one at H-B-P. I’m glad it was finally possible.

Well… that’s it for current site news. I feel like I should have some kind of sign-off line or something. Eh, I’ll come up with something later. ;o)
