Who wouldn’t love an early Christmas present?

In our family, most of the time, we have a hard time not giving presents early. This year my sister got her present early. We didn’t have a choice, my mom and I were giving her bedroom a mini-makeover.

I spent most of today on a ladder either hanging up curtain rods or pictures. Her room was madeover to give it the feel of an old fashioned theater with everything in tones of burgundy and gold. It ended up looking gorgeous and she was happily surprised when she arrived home from work.

It was a lot of fun to do and even more fun (in a really nervous sort of way) to see her reaction when she saw it.

If you are still shopping now… you might be out of luck.

Good thing this is the season of hope… and cheer… and free shipping.

Reliable places to order from online -

  • Barnes and Noble - www.bn.com
  • American Eagle Outfitters - www.ae.com
  • Cigars International - www.cigarsinternational.com
  • GAP - www.gap.com

Most of these places are offering free shipping. I’m sure there are many more reliable places to shop online… these are just a list of those that I have ordered from regularly for the past few years and have NEVER had a problem with them. That includes orders I placed last weekend that are being delivered now.

Happy Shopping!

Goes something like this…

Find the item online…

Oops, it’s not in stock…

Search again…

Find the item…

It’s in STOCK!!!

Place the order…

Wait.

Wait..

Wait…

Find a slip on the door - you missed the delivery truck and must NOW go to the post office. Don’t forget the slip or you won’t get your package.

Return home and look for slip…

Find slip… retrieve package.

Go through your email folder and find all the orders placed and update yourself quickly as to which part of the country they are sitting in. Get very excited when you find that the packages are at least IN TOWN!!!!

Go pick the kids up from school… return home to find another slip.

Sigh.
