The Alignment of the Planets
This is the only excuse I can come up with to explain the strange things going on around the world lately.
Sometimes the negativity around me is absolutely overwhelming. I don’t necessarily mean negative people… just seems like there is a lot of bad “stuff” going around. I feel like I am spending a lot of time telling people how sorry I am that bad things have happened and are happening to them. Not that I don’t mean it, I definitely do.
I guess I am wondering WHY? Why do all of these things have to happen to such wonderful people and why all of it now?
Perhaps I’m being overly dramatic and Monday is REALLY getting to me. It seems like everything today has taken extra effort that I don’t have to spare.
In my daily existence outside of the Blogosphere it seems that there are a select few people who have absolutely no clue that the past month or so and the next 30 days are all about us on our toes moving at a near-frantic pace until the loans close, we have the keys in our sweaty palms, and all the boxes are safely distributed to their rightful place in the new house.
I have to say that my mom absolutely rocks. She gets this whole thing (having been forced out of her house by a fire a little over a two years ago) and what it is going to take to get out of this house and into the new one. Even though she drives me up the wall reminding me about “timing” and “reminder lists” and “getting at least three estimates” - I’m still glad that she’s here to do it.
And, she’s not all about the advice either, she actually dropped all but one class this quarter (even though she is graduating in June) because she knows I’m not going to be able to pick Ethan and GJ up for lunch every day AND get moved into the new house. She thinks about that sort of thing WAY ahead of time and acts on it.
Then there are other people who are completely oblivious. ‘Nuf said.
Usually, I use my daily blogreading as a way to escape and get away from it all - and boy, do I understand that not everyone can be happy and funny 100% of the time but lately, almost everybody out here has been going through a really tough time so I’m just about convinced that something strange is in the air.
I’m in CE Therapy now, which works out really well for this time of year. CE… Cadbury Egg. I’m a hopeless addict and this time of year wreaks absolute havoc on my best low-carb intentions. So until the universe moves into a more positive alignment, I figure SOMETHING has to give somewhere and it might as well be covered in chocolate with a sweet, gooey, creamy center.

Oohh… the Cadbury Egg … it’ll be the downfall of me yet. Although I also love the reeses, snickers and regular old milk chocolate eggs.
I hope the month flies by for you.

lol - I picked up some Cadbury Eggs when I got the hubs meds after his accident this weekend. I just needed some creamy chocolate love in a little foil wrapper. Sometimes you just have to have a little chocolate to thumb your nose at the universe.

I worship the caramel centered CE’s.

mrsfortune You know, I’m just hopelessly addicted to the Cadbury, which is for the best because there is no telling how large my butt would be if I were addicted to all of them. LOL
Crazy Lady Amen! I had three yesterday. That might have been more than thumbing my nose… it could be equated to flipping the bird - LOL
Chickie Cadbury definitely has something with these eggs… I wish they were out all year round.

Cadbury Eggs? Yes, yes I think that is exactly the kind of therapy I need too. (Thanks for the idea!) Chocolate and sweet gooey center.
I know what you mean about people “going through difficult times” Amy. And yes, my hubby and I are one of those. But what doesn’t kill us makes us stronger. And nothing makes those good times as sweet as they are, then coming out of some trials.
It gets to me on occasion to see so many people I care for going through trials and hard times. It also makes me stick around to see them come out of it triumphant.
It seems with blogging, that for me anyway,it is where I will dump my frustrations and struggles before anywhere else. I try to remember that it is comforting to be able to do so. And know that others struggling most likely feel the same way. Which seems to make the connections out here in blogland just a little deeper than in day to day life, where when most ask “How are you?” The pat response is “fine.”
But I have to agree with you, that there does seem to be something in the air! ;-)

Perhaps the solar eclipse this morning (Wednesday 3/29 because I am w-a-y behind LOL)will clear the atmosphere.
I wish they made a Cadbury Egg big enough for me to live in - LOL (The caramel ones are my favorite)

3T I don’t blame anyone (especially you) for venting on a blog. I hope you didn’t take it that way! I just feel so bad that so many people that I have grown to really like and enjoy reading are having such a terrible time, especially you.
And, even in during such a rough time you still manage to say something positive and meaningful that so many people could learn from. This is one of the many reasons why I admire you.
Definitely try the Cadbury Eggs… they are worth the fat, calories and carbs. ;o)
Marti *sigh* a Cadbury Egg apartment… wow, now that’s a whole new fantasy. ;o)
