A “Great” Debate ;)

garden sectionWhile out shopping and running errands on Saturday Mike wanted to go by that horrible store that starts with a “W” and ends with “mart” when it should really have “hell hole” somewhere in the title. I hate that place. But, Mike cleverly talked me into accompanying him by promising to enter in through the garden section because he knows how much I love losing an hour in a nursery or any garden related section of any home improvement store. Seriously. It’s almost an addiction. I can spend hours looking at terra cotta pots, pavers, flowers, shrubs, wind chimes, bird houses and come out of there with at least fifty projects we need to do RIGHT NOW.

Unless it is the pond section or the section which supplies various products for insect or weed termination or the entire grilling and bbq section – Mike is usually less than enthusiastic about puttering through the garden section. Usually… there are times he’s happy to do it especially if it results in new tomato or pepper plants. But Saturday it was just a clever ruse to get me to the God forsaken fishing, camping and hunting department so he could find some stinky substance in a jar masquerading is just the product to have fish leaping on to your hook voluntarily.

It might have backfired on him.

Patio CushionI found patio cushions in a delightful bright blue, cream, and khaki stripe that matches the tile on our outdoor kitchen and would look awesome in the chairs outside! I pointed them out and Mike grimaced at what he defined as “bright blue” because he doesn’t have that gift for envisioning what it will look like in place.

Although, I’m not completely in love with these cushions (they are cushions, people sit on them, it’s okay to not be emotionally attached!) I do think they would look nice. Still, I’m not completely adverse to to continue looking around for the perfect outdoor cushion. But, it will probably have a lot of that shade of blue in it.

I realize my initial mistake was asking what he thought about it. I think I’ll give him time to forget and maybe I’ll go back and get them anyway. ;)
