A Mustache Don’t
Posted By AmyD. on May 18, 2010
I recently celebrated my wedding anniversary with my husband. We’ve been together for a long time. Although, you wouldn’t have expected it to turn out the way it did if you knew how we met.
Mike and I met on a blind date. His close friend was married to one of my close friends.
The first time I met him, I didn’t like him. Scratch that, I didn’t like his mustache so I didn’t really look much further than that. He called me anyway and we’d talk and I’d turn down invitations to go out with him. He’d tease me that he would pick me up on his motorcycle and I’d laugh and say how that would be tough to do considering I wouldn’t agree to go out with him anyway. But we talked on the phone a lot and became pretty good friends.
Then we drifted apart and a month or so later I ran into him at the mall. He’d shaved his mustache… and the rest, as they say, is history. He sold his fishing boat to buy my engagement ring. As silly as that might sound, my husband is an avid fisherman and that boat was a very big deal to him. Which, in my mind, meant that I was a bigger deal to him and so to me that was a huge, romantic sacrifice.
We’ve spent many years together practically attached at the hip. Ups and downs, hills and valleys, they are all just a part of the landscape of life. What is true always remains and the truth is that he is my best friend, my sounding board, and the love of my life.
All because he shaved that mustache.
If you’re looking for that special someone you might be able to find them at Lava Life personals. Good luck!

Awww, all because he shaved! That is sweet!
