Enough with the Bouncing! ;)

The weather has finally cooled down and it’s gorgeous outside, we’ve had the most beautiful fall storm blowing through. Just a couple of weekends ago we were decorating the house for Halloween in 90+ degree weather. I am happy to see summer go.
Just like every other year I am happily gearing up for the holidays and today I updated my Holiday Control Journal over at FlyLady. I am determined to enjoy the holidays as thoroughly and completely as humanly possible this year.
I have to admit I’m not a hardcore FlyLady follower. I have modified the morning and evening routines to better suit my disposition. You just aren’t going to find me re-booting the laundry or emptying the dishwasher before my first cup of coffee. If you follow FlyLady at all then you know that this week we are in the Master Bedroom and I’m hoping I don’t throw something out of whack turning my mattress. The term “pillow top” really doesn’t convey the weightiness, you know?
I am in the market for a new mattress, however. I think we are wanting to go with a memory foam or something, although I got an ad for Simmons Beautyrest Black, which intrigued me enough to go look. The term “black” is a little misleading there but they did make a cute mattress almost reminiscent of a tuxedo or something. Mattresses are just such a pain to shop for between the commercials and the infomercials, the sleep by numbers, the sleep on air, memory foam and ComforPedic mattress ads.
That commercial with the woman jumping on the bed while a glass of red wine perches on the other side springs to mind. I don’t often perch wine on my mattress and quite frankly, I’m more interested in a mattress where I’m not disturbed if my kid climbs into the middle of it at 2am. I’ll be honest, it’s not that I don’t want to be disturbed it’s that I’d like there to be the kid version of the invisible dog fence around my bed.
Eh, well, mattresses and stuff can wait until after the holidays.

I slept on a memory foam mattress for the first time this summer and was blown away by how comfy it was. I was sharing a bed with a friend and my side of the be didn’t even move when she’d turn over!
And, I took an Ambien for the first time too. That may have helped me sleep soundly as well.

i love to use memory foams because they are soft and they can make impressions *~,
