Giddy, Almost Silly…

Ever realize the power of good music?

It does something to all of us… especially if you let yourself get caught up in it. I believe that music speaks directly to our souls and there is no better way to alter a mood than to pop in a CD.

This evening I’m listening to SIRIUS Standard Time through my TV. I’ve just finished listening to:

Bobby Darin – “Somewhere Beyond The Sea”
Dean Martin – “Everybody Loves Somebody Sometime”
Perry Como – “Papa Loves Mambo”
Frank Sinatra – “The Lady Is A Tramp”
Ella Fitzgerald – “Puttin’ On The Ritz”
Sarah Vaughn – “Pennies From Heaven”
Jimmy Durante – “Make Someone Happy”
Steve Tyrell – “Sunny Side Of The Street”

*sigh*

It’s been a long day and my spirits feel absolutely renewed!

Of course, we get a little silly around here with music. Everything in our life has a theme. Just last weekend for about 45 minutes the kids and I had “Christmas With The Rat Pack” cranked in the den. Sure, our neighbors thing we’re a little nutty… but, oh well. We’re a little early for that type of music – but I dare you to listen to the live version of “Marshmallow Winter” sung by Frank and Dean and NOT feel absolutely giddy!
