“If It Ever Gets Too Busy Or Too Dangerous, I’m Out Of Here.”

Okay so the other television show I am passionately in love with is “The Glades” on A&E, Sundays 10/9C. Matt Passmore as Jim Longworth, is easy on the eyes and the character is written with loads of dry humor and sarcasm, two of my favorite things.
My husband is slightly annoyed that Jim has a thing for Cassie, (the female lead played by Kiele Sanchez) she’s a single mom because her husband is in prison. It irritates Mike’s sense of honor or whatever because married is married whether or not your spouse is in prison. I can get past sketchy morality (and it’s not like they have a relationship going right now anyway, it’s all pretty platonic) if the show is great. And, this show is awesome.
Cassie is written in a fairly engaging way, I like that she’s tough without being ridiculous and hard-assed. She’s sweet and appreciative (instead of the stereotypical suspicious because something nice was done for her) while still being really intelligent. The character is a nurse putting herself through medical school.
The characters are all interesting and the dialogue is really snappy. Of course, I’m someone who prefers the dialogue of the West Wing (early seasons) and Gilmore Girls (when Amy Sherman-Palladino era), fast, smart, and riddled with references you only grasp if you are paying attention. While nothing has really come close to those two shows, in my opinion, the shows I currently like have a lot of those characteristics.
It’s just nice to see that there are finally some fun, murder/mystery shows back on television again.

I have the whole series on backlog on my DVR…can’t wait to start it!
Hilly´s last [type] ..Children Of Mercy And Grace…
It’s soooo worth it.
Dude! What about Castle? And Bones? Well, I haven’t watched Bones for awhile, but I’m serious about Castle.
I don’t watch Castle… haven’t heard of it actually. But I LOVE Bones, it’s what got me back into watching a lot of other shows when I had totally given up on television.
