I’m Sure I’m Not The Only One…

How many TGIF posts are there out in the blogsphere today? I was thinking about what sort of post to write and it was just right there, right in my way: It’s FRIDAY. FRIDAY!!!!
Makes it hard to think about anything else except that sweet moment when all the work is done, the Friday afternoon cleaning is over, and we are free for two whole days. We’re barbecuing this weekend sort of a kick-off to spring kind of thing.
I’m hoping to fit in some gardening and a couple of projects as well. My spinach is sprouting a bit here and there, but now I’m afraid it might be too warm. It just doesn’t seem to be doing as well as I had hoped.
We have a storm blowing in on Sunday which means it will be the perfect day to just stay in, curl up and watch television with the family. Popcorn and the couch… mmmm.

My husband goes to the field for a week on Sunday, and I can’t wait. A whole week off of cooking and actually having to get out of my pj’s! And the whole bed to myself.
The whole bed? Alone? Come now… this must be some sort of sick fantasy or something. Is that possible? I don’t even recall the last time I slept in a bed alone. You don’t have any pets?
Just tell me you have a pet or a garden gnome or something… that way I won’t be envious of you and all your space you have to yourself.
Yes, I have a pet, and she snuggles well. When he’s gone, she takes his side of the bed (and at 80 pounds, uses all of it). However, one soft tap on her butt with my palm, and she’s off the bed. I get rearranged however I’m comfy, and she hops back up and takes the leftover space. She shares bed better than he does.
I just ‘acquired’ a tiny little black semi-long haired kitten on Wednesday… so this weekend will most likely be spent buying him some little toys and making him feel at home. Although he is currently asleep on the sofa, so I think he’s feeling pretty relaxed already!
Awww! I want pics!!! It’s funny how cats just sort of move in and take over, isn’t it?
We’re kicking things off this afternoon with a NAP, followed by getting Drunk In Public. Saturday there’s an open house at Luke AFB, where Calvin will get all testosteroney with the fighter planes, and I shall take pictures. Then Sunday it’s brunch and mimosas with a friend of ours. Reminds me of Ron White, “But, I wasn’t drunk in public, I was drunk in a bar, they THREW me into public!” LOL

I’m doing it. Tequila on the couch with Tiny Dog. I will have to get up and go to a baseball game tomorrow. Thinking of taking a Bloody Mary with me in a V8 bottle.

YAY Friday!
Actually – YAY SATURDAY, too!
We spent the weekend on the go! We went out of town to St. George, Utah. We went to the Dinosaur farm & saw dino tracks. Went to a ghost town, and went on a treasure hunt for old nails and stuff. Found lots of cool stuff too. Then we went to Zion Nat’l Park. Did a little hiking, and exploring. And we found time for movies, swimming, dinners out, and mini golf too. I need a nap after my relaxing weekend away!
Friday?? It’s Monday. Blah! I WISH it were Friday again!!
