One of the Secrets Behind the “Secrets” – Meals Delivered
Posted By AmyD. on December 9, 2010
I have very little faith or interest in “celebrity” weight loss secrets. How hard would it be to lose weight if you had your own personal chef or meal delivery service? Not to mention some of those hefty paychecks that go along with being a weight loss spokesperson are certainly incentive enough. Pfft.
I find the articles on those actresses who “gained” weight for a role (only to look normal and relatively healthy) to be far more interesting anyway. Michelle Williams gained weight for a role recently eating loads of avocados on her sandwiches and some sort of gourmet ice cream. I think more than a few of us could have told her that she didn’t have to eat gourmet ice cream for it to do the job.
Diets are sort of pointless this time of year anyway. I say that… but I’ve been working at losing weight for the last month or so and have dropped about 10 pounds. I’m not doing anything extreme or punishing, I’m mainly watching portion control and cutting out unnecessary sweets/calories, etc. Don’t get me wrong, unnecessary is rated on a sliding scale and I plan on indulging when I make toffee and fudge this weekend. I guess I’m lucky I haven’t worked in an office in years so I don’t have to worry about the constant trays of cookies and candy floating into the break room.
Not that we don’t get special deliveries.
Fortunately, mine is not the only sweet tooth in the house so the sweets don’t last all that long. So, while I try to be careful, I’m definitely a holiday indulger and I’ve just learned to accept that. There are too many wonderful things that go along with this season from cookies to candies that you only see once a year. How could you not indulge a little when you ONLY get the chance once a year?
So what are you doing to avoid the extra holiday pounds?
