Peeping and Whatever

We were out on a ride the other night and I had this great post whirling through my head. Something about how it feels like being a peeping tom to fly through the night, exposed to the elements, and seeing people through the windows of the cars they cruise along side you in. That somehow it seems more appropriate if you are looking out of your car over a lane and through their window. But when you feel like you can almost reach over and touch the glass as you fly by, it feels more intrusive and intimate.
It seemed very profound at the time but the next morning the sentiment was lost somewhere between waking up and the first cup of coffee. Reality has a way of doing that to you.
