I want you to know that $2000.00 and COUNTING has been raised for the Puppy Monster Memorial started by Adam Avitable. You may recall that we are “selling” graphics that echo our sentiments and our support for NYC Watchdawg.

While there are only 4 graphics, they are only $5 each – and quite frankly, if you want to give more than that you can do so simply by adjusting the quantity in increments of $5 at the PayPal order page. And, no, you don’t have to download $50 worth of graphics. Donate $5 or $50 and only download one if you’d like or… don’t download the graphic at all. It’s a PayPal stipulation that an entity must be “selling” something in order to accept funds.

Adam said it best, but it’s true, we can’t buy away his pain and grief, God knows we all wish we could. But, if we can make it easier to just pay a few bills or cushion funeral expenses – that has to bring a little relief, right? So, I ask you, please donate something if you can spare it all the donations of “only” $5 are adding up so quickly.

Remember, we are talking about Watchdawg’s only child, his son. Give a little… please.

As a parent and as a human being who has lost loved ones, I have no problem identifying and imagining the depth of pain this poor man is in. My heart aches for him and my children are probably getting sick of me telling them, “I love you.” every time they enter a room, but all I can do is think of the parent out there who can no longer do this and probably wishes that he still could.

I’ve said it before and I will say it again – I’ve never been so proud to be part of this community as I have been over the past few days. Within an hour of putting up that link we had nearly $200… and the word just kept spreading. To all of you who gave or visited Watchdawg’s site to send your wishes, thoughts, and prayers… thank you. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.

Please continue to spread the word, share the link, post to your MySpace, message boards, anything. It’s a grass roots movement but it is working… don’t stop now.
