The Most Important Decision of the Year
Posted By AmyD. on October 5, 2009
I’m going to dress up for Halloween.
No really.
It’s not something I’ve done since junior high, but this year marks the return of costume considerations. Originally, I thought I’d go as a witch, I like traditional Halloween fare. But, Mike mentioned that I’d make a great gypsy so I’ve decided to go with that idea. I already have the perfect skirt in my closet so I think that’s the direction I’ll go.
Mike and Ethan are decided on going as “Gilligan and the Skipper” from Gilligan’s Island. I can’t wait to see how that turns out. A-Train and Steve-O are going as Cheech and Chong.
I don’t know if Kate has decided on a costume yet, but Maggie is pushing her to dress as Daphne from Scooby Doo because *drum roll please* after much consideration and the narrowing down of what felt like hundreds of options, Maggie has decided she will go as Velma and that Zander can go as Scooby Doo.
Unless she changes her mind in the next few weeks and that’s not exactly unlikely.
*fingers crossed*
It feels good to be back in the holiday swing. Over the weekend we decorated the house for Halloween. Of course I had Halloween music blaring as we decorated the house inside and out.
I felt like a little kid waiting for it to get dark enough so I could finally see the latest addition to my Halloween decorations collection, the eyeballs in the shrubs!!!

Now I just have to find a fog machine. I can’t wait to see all the lights (especially the green rope light under the witch) under a blanket of low lying, creepy fog!!!

I don’t know if you have a Menard’s by you but we got a fog machine there yesterday for only $17.
Ack. Of course we don’t have a Menard’s. Dammit!!!! Just my luck, too.
I can totally see you as a gypsy! With big hoop earrings, and a head scarf! I’m picturing something like Esmeralda from the Hunchback. How cool!
That’s what I was thinking too!!!!
She does realize that ol’ Scoob is a Great Dane, right?
Zander, for all his greatness, is not a Dane.
She figures he’s the right color so he’s close enough. LOL
Oh, well then, close enough
Who is going as perma-stoner Shaggy?
.-= Marissa´s last blog ..I have a sudden urge to read Fall of the House of Usher =-.
Hahahaha, no one actually. Although, Ethan was nominated at one point.
Just looking at your beautifully decorated house makes me want to do ours. Well… I think I will have the boys do it and I will just supervise!
Supervising is the best! And, thank you very much!!!!!
Your decorations look great. I think you would make a good Velma.
J.
Hmmm, I don’t know about that. :gagged:
and THANK YOU very much!!!!
