Vacationing? Curious?

Okay, so we’re mid-way through summer, stores are stocking their back to school stuff and the kids are trying to pretend that August isn’t as close as it really is. Out here in California school is back in session August 24th or something ridiculous like that. I don’t care to find out exactly when I figure it will slap me in the face long before I’m ready and in more than enough time to prepare for the coming school year.
But, all that icky school stuff aside, there are actually people who haven’t done the family vacay thing yet. My family included, actually… er, sadly maybe.
My kids have been fortunate enough in the past to have traveled all over the east coast. Whether it was a ghost tour, or a stay at a great B&B or touring Civil War battle grounds… they loved it all.
When I was asked to write a post on a nifty website, Greenville SC I decided to check the site out before I committed to anything.
The truth is? It’s pretty cool. It’s all about videos done around Greenville giving a glimpse into Greenville life and attractions, lodging, etc. There is one pretty cute video on a local B&B, Pettigru Place Bed & Breakfast, that gives a great tour of this adorable inn, the owner, and their gourmet breakfasts. It actually kicks butt over those “other” B&B tours that you see around. Seriously, ladies check out that video and the gorgeous rooms. I swear, it made me want to book a flight and reservation or maybe even open up my own B&B…
Near as I can tell (with the assistance of Google Maps) Greenville, South Carolina appears to be in the heart of the south, not far from historical sites and places to see. Personally, I’ve always wanted to travel to the south so I guess I’m a bit biased when it comes to investigating these sorts of things.
As I was going through the site it attracted the attention of my husband who hung over my shoulder watching some of the videos. It’s just a neat way to experience a place before you get there or to even just see how other people live. Either way, I’ve bookmarked this site and plan on returning to it.

Sounds lovely, one of my favourite singers, Paul Curreri, sings a song called ‘Greenville’… you should look it up if you get a chance (it’s on itunes), as it could be the soundtrack to your vacation!
If you come this close, you might as well come see me in Savannah.
