Wilmington NC, Normal Rockwell and Fantasies
Posted By AmyD. on April 30, 2010
I can’t think of anyone I know who hasn’t fantasized about living somewhere else. Two of my “guilty pleasure” movies include “Baby Boom” and “Funny Farm” both of which have plots that center around people who have left an old life to move on to somewhere completely different. In this case, cute, Norman Rockwell type towns in some remote rural area. Then, of course, laughter ensues as they go through the whole “fish out of water” thing. While that part isn’t something I’d like to experience, I’ve always loved the the thought of moving away to some quaint little town. I’m sure it’s not everyone’s fantasy but it’s always been one of mine.
The other day I got this cool link to a website for homes in Wilmington, North Carolina. Every house (on the website) looked like something out of a Paula Deen special. Big porches, great colors, all looking like something out of a movie.
Wilmington NC Homes is very easy to navigate and they have loads of pictures (even interior pics, my favorites!) of all the houses. They have links to specific neighborhoods, search by zip code, and I love the depth of information right down to the dimensions of the master bedroom!
Even if you aren’t looking to buy in North Carolina it’s still a blast to look at some of these houses. I’ve already found several inspirational ideas that I might apply around my house soon.
